Lead Mechanical Engineer

What will you be doing?

As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will take the lead in the development (from concept to production) of high-quality mechanical and mechatronic structures, machines, and devices within a project team. Your tasks include:

• Conducting feasibility studies and preliminary investigations.
• Preparing calculations for quotations and planning construction work.
• Designing and specifying (parts of) innovative machines.
• Setting up, interpreting, and analyzing more complex calculations.
• Selecting and approving suppliers, as well as selecting purchased parts.
• Developing, managing, and delivering technical documentation.
• Coordinating, planning, and monitoring work for multiple individuals.
• Providing technical guidance to the projects. Instructing, evaluating, and reviewing drawings of team members.

What are we looking for in a Lead Mechanical Engineer?

For the position of Lead Mechanical Engineer, we are looking for someone with:

• A completed HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• Several years of experience in a similar role as a Senior or Lead Engineer.
• Experience with SolidWorks, and experience with NX is a strong advantage.
• Experience with lifting, hoisting, and/or assembly tools is a strong advantage.
• Experience within the semiconductor industry is preferred.
• Fluency in Dutch is essential for this position.
