As a Mechanical Engineer at TSG, you'll tackle challenging projects for various clients, particularly in the food industry. You'll find satisfaction in the combination of in-house projects and projects we execute on the client’s site.

Your role:

• Collaborating with an Architect to define specifications based on customer needs and requirements.
• Translating these specifications into technical solutions, including conducting feasibility studies to determine the viability of these solutions.
• Performing associated calculations and analyses regarding strength, stiffness, tolerances, lifespan, costs, and reliability.
• Creating 3D designs and detailed drawings, considering manufacturability, assembly, and service possibilities.
• Conducting tests, whether through simulation or physical, and analyzing the data obtained.
• Clearly formulating issues and documenting, reporting, and presenting your work.
• Guiding junior team members to improve the quality of their work.
• Expanding your knowledge of the food industry and actively sharing it with colleagues to continuously improve as a team.

About You:

• You have a degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanics, or a similar field.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in machine construction as a (lead) engineer within the food industry (preferably packaged foods).
• You have knowledge of design strategies and can draft a set of requirements based on client needs and demands.
• You can estimate the technical complexity, risks, time, and costs of work packages.
• Experience with SolidWorks and/or Inventor and FEM is a strong plus.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.
• You have experience mentoring junior colleagues and act as a mentor.
